On January 16-17 a delegation of the National intellectual property Center Sakpatenti visited the Republic of Azerbaijan. Mr. Irakli Ghvaladze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and Mrs. Ekaterine Eguia, Deputy Chairman, met with Mr. Ramiz Hasanov, Chairman of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mr. Mir Yagub Seyidov, Head of the Patent Department. At the meetings current activities in the field of intellectual property, plans and strategies for further development of intellectual property were discussed. Issues linked with registration of appellations of origin and control of observance of intellectual property legislation were also considered.
