Discussion around the Business plan for Georgian Technology Transfer Center (GTTC)

Sakpatenti organized a Business plan workshop in cooperation with the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Sighnaghi on 12th and 13th of October 2011.

Stakeholder from business, science and research and policy convened to discuss and agree upon a business plan for the Georgian Technology Transfer Center. This is part of the process of developing a National Technology Transfer and innovation System. Sakpatenti, commissioned by the Prime Minister’s Office, took the lead in this very important step to boost competitiveness of Georgian business. The GTTC will start its work on 1st of January and will bring together Georgian enterprises and Georgian as well as international researchers from universities and other technology and innovation experts to build cooperations for technology transfer and innovation, also networking with partners in Europe. Objective of the TTC is to create a Georgian Knowledge Network for Technology Transfer and innovation linked to the experiences of similar European Networks. The first public activity of the GTTC in foundation will be the launch of “Inno Georgia”, a competition for Georgian companies and academia in innovation projects.
