A National TISC Workshop on innovation Support through Access to Technical Knowledge, organized by the National intellectual property Center of Georgia Sakpatenti and the World intellectual property Organization (WIPO) within the framework of the project on establishment of Technology and innovation Support Centers, took place at Sheraton Metekhi Palace hotel on September 13-15.

The workshop was intended for Sakpatenti staff, representatives of universities and business sector. Sakpatenti officials and invited foreign specialists delivered presentations. In the course of the three-day event a number of questions were discussed. Among these were: filing and Patent grant procedures in Georgia, national IP plan to support innovation activities in Georgia, the role of Patent information in supporting innovation, etc. On the third day the participants of the workshop were handed over respective certificates.
