Georgia has been elected the WIPO regional group coordinator

On September 28, in the framework of the Forty-Ninth Series of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World intellectual property Organization (WIPO), the WIPO Regional Group meeting took place. The main discussion topic under the agenda was the election of the coordinator. The regional group member countries attending the meeting supported election of Georgia as the Coordinator of the WIPO Regional Group. The group consists of the Caucasian, Central Asian & Eastern European Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

This is the first time that Georgia has been elected the WIPO regional group coordinator.
