The WIPO Regional Seminar on the Implementation of the WIPO Development Agenda finished its work
The WIPO Regional Seminar on the Implementation of the WIPO Development Agenda organized by the WIPO in cooperation with Kyrgyzpatent finished its work on June 16, 2011 in conference hall of Jannat hotel.
The third day of the seminar was dedicated to national experiences of various countries on the development of IP strategies.
During discussion of the national experiences on IP strategies, the presentations of Belarus, Turkey, and Serbia were given.
Mr. Samat Baizakov, Head of Strategic Development Division and Mrs. Zarina Omorova, Coordinator of the Technology and Innovations Support Center shared experience of Kyrgyzstan in this field.
Mr. Azhibai Kalmamatov, Director of Kyrgyzpatent summarizing the seminar noted that it was intensive and fruitful. Participants shared experiences, exchanged views on key issues concerning IP development at national, regional and international level. He expressed confidence that comments, proposals and wishes made during the seminar will be used in practice.
“We have done huge and fruitful work over the past 3 days, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on many issues of intellectual property rights in our countries in the context of the WIPO Development Agenda” – Mr. Azhibai Kalmamatov noted.
He also thanked the WIPO for organizing such an event, as well as international experts and consultants for interesting reports covering wide range of issues and which were the good basis for further elaboration and discussion.
Participants in turn noted the high level of the arrangement of the event and also thanked the host side.
