“China views great possibilities and perspectives for car export to Central Asia, particularly, to Kazakhstan,” head of China-Europe AssociationforTechnical and Economic Cooperation U Khayuy told Kazinform [1] agency during the China’s II Automobile Exhibition.
According to him, the Auto-Expo, running from 8-13 July, showcases about 200 self-developed car models which have independent intellectual property rights.
“Kazakhstan is a big Central Asian market and a member of the recently-formed Customs Union. Next year we are ready to hold an automobile exhibition in Kazakhstan to bring China’s car industry closer to Kazakhstani consumers and then set up joint ventures,” Khayuy said.
According to China’s customs statistics, the total car export volume from China through Khorgos check-point during January-April this year made 2,305 cars (USD 93,23 mln) increasing by 70% against the analogous period of the previous year.
