By the Presidential Decree #PP -1536 of May 24, 2011 The Agency for intellectual property of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established on the basis of the State Patent Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Republican Agency for copyright.
The Decree also identified the key objectives and activities of the Agency and approved the organizational structure of the Agency and its central structure.
According to the Decree of the President the Agency has two divisions: State Unitary Enterprise “Intelligence Expert” and Training Center for Skills Upgrading in the field of Intellectual Property.
