EPO Online Services User Day in Istanbul

The second EPO Online Services User Day of 2011 will be held in Istanbul on 29 September.

The User Day is primarily aimed at Patent Attorneys, IP support staff and staff responsible for the technical implementation of Online Filing.

The morning session of the programme includes practical sessions on Online Filing for both new users or users with little experience of the Online Filing software. For more experienced users who want to find out more about formalities and procedural features and changes effective as of 1 January 2011 a distinct workshop is offered.

In response to popular demand, an additional module has been added to the programme to give more experienced Online Filing users the opportunity to practise the knowledge and skills acquired in the morning session on the basis of practical examples.

Hands-on workshops on Online Fee Payment, PatXML and the recently launched BiSSAP (Biological Sequence Submission Application for patents) are offered in the afternoon. In addition a seminar on the European Patent grant procedure will be offered.

Throughout the day, three different technical workshops on Online Filing are offered to meet the requirements of technical support staff responsible for the technical installation of Online Filing.

The working language is English. Workshops on Online Filing (starter level), Online Fee Payment and PatXML will be offered in German and French as well if there is sufficient interest (minimum of six registered participants per language).
