Azerbaijan to host international seminar on innovative technologies

International seminar “Transfer of innovative technologies” is to be held in Baku on 23-24 October.

The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (AMEA) informs that the seminar will be organized with the financial support of the Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan by the Public Association for intellectual property & Innovations, Fineko reports.

Researchers and experts in this field from Azerbaijan, USA, Canada, Israel, Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Belarus will deliver reports at the seminar.

The project purpose is to improve the impact of scientific work on development of innovation activity in the country, the economy in general and the non-oil sector in particular by protecting intellectual property rights. The symposium will cover issues relating to the marketing for use of new technologies, signing of contracts, and research of the protection of intellectual property rights.

The symposium will focus on the issue of equitable distribution of intellectual property rights between the government, academic institution, and the author of a scientific achievement or technology in the process of their transfer.

The Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan allocated AZN 25,000 for holding the seminar.
