Kazakhstan’s capital will host the 5th Astana Economic Forum (AEF) on 22-24 May 2012. The event will convene distinguished politicians, leading experts, and scholars from all over the world to discuss the challenges and prospects of economic development in the context of global transformation.

Further to the decision of the WIPO General Assembly in 2011 and the Preparatory Committee, the Diplomatic Conference on the Protection of Audiovisual Performances, will take place in Beijing in June 2012 to adopt an international treaty on the rights of performers in their audiovisual performances. During this Conference, simultaneous interpretation will be provided from and into English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish and from Portuguese into the other six languages.
