Trademark registration requirements in Uzbekistan

• Power of attorney, simply signed, which can be filed in 2 months from the application.
• Design of the trademark in JPEG format in case of a graphical trademark (not required for word mark) and the explanation or the meaning and the origin of the trademark.
• The details of goods and/or services for witch the trademark will be registered or the classes in case they are known.
• Details of the trademark owner (name, address, registration number).
• Invoicing details (name, address, fiscal number, registration number).
• Certified copy of priority document in case priority is to be claimed, it can be filed in 3 months from the application.

Trademark registration procedure in Uzbekistan

The protection lasts 10 years from the filing date. No oppositions can be filed against a national or international application. An action based on non-use after 5 years may be filed.
