  • Power of attorney simply signed, it can be filled within 2 months.
  • Design of the trademark in JPEG format in case of a graphical trademark (not required for word mark).
  • The detaliation of goods and/or services for witch the trademark will be registered or the classes in case they are known.
  • Details of the trademark owner (name, address, registration number).
  • Invoicing details (name, address, fiscal number, registration number).
  • In case that priority is claimed, the certified copy of the priority document will be filed within 2 months.

It is possible to file an application in Kazakhstan without having to prove use or state an intention of use. The trademark is published after the registration. After completion of filing procedure the trademark application undergoes preliminary examination within 3-4 months. Then the substantive examination is conducted within 12-15 months. On results of the substantive examination the grant decision is issued. After payment of the prescribed registration fee the certificate of registration is issued within 4-5 months. The procedure of the trademark registration takes from 18 to 24 months. There is no opposition period. The protection lasts 10 years from the filing date.
